Plantery is designed to be privacy-first. We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information like your name, email, or phone number. We collect the following data:

• Device ID: We generate a unique, anonymous identifier for your device to keep track of your scans and premium status.
• Images: When you use the app to identify or diagnose a plant, you upload images of plants.
• Purchase Data: If you purchase a premium subscription, payment is charged to your Apple ID account (on iOS) or Google Play account (on Android) and processed securely through RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your credit card or payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to provide and improve the functionality of Plantery:

• To identify plant species and diagnose plant diseases using Artificial Intelligence.
• To save your scan history securely so you can access it on your device.
• To manage subscriptions and ensure premium users get unlimited access.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your privacy is our priority. Plant images are uploaded to a secure cloud database (Supabase) using randomly generated file names and are accessed via temporary signed URLs. This means your images are completely private and cannot be viewed publicly.

We employ strict Row Level Security (RLS) policies, ensuring that the data generated by your device can only be accessed by your specific device.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app:

• Supabase: For secure database hosting and image storage.
• RevenueCat: To manage in-app subscriptions securely.
• AI Providers: We send plant images to third-party AI models (like Replicate/OpenAI) strictly for the purpose of plant identification. These images are not used by us to train models or track your identity.

5. Data Deletion

You can delete your plant history at any time directly within the app. Since we do not maintain traditional user accounts, clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app will remove your local connection to the data.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
